Description

Lake Everest Retreat is a modern and immaculate getaway destination in a great location. Walk to Lake Everest public beach and swim in the pristine waters, launch a canoe or kayak or enjoy a day of summertime fun in the sun for the whole family. This great vacation rental also sits very close to Whiteface Mountain Ski Center, presenting a perfect landing spot for ski buffs!

*Please note there is currently construction in this development and the current rate is discounted due to that inconvenience.  Exterior construction is scheduled to be completed prior to the summer season however that can not be guaranteed.  There will be no refund or cancellations due to any construction that may occur during your stay as a discount has already been applied to the current nightly rate.*

The main level features an entry mudroom, a half bath and a welcoming open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen complete  with a breakfast bar and 4 stools, a dining area that seats 6 and the living room with cozy electric fireplace and access to the deck with furniture, perfect for relaxing outdoors in the fresh Adirondack air. There is also a main level bedroom with king bed and an ensuite bathroom.  

The upper level offers a landing overlooking the living room, washer/dryer unit, and 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king bed, TV, ensuite bathroom, and access to a covered balcony with seating.  The 2nd bedroom with 2 twins a bunk bed (Twin, Full), TV, and an ensuite bathroom.

The Wilmington Town Beach on Lake Everest (Ausable River) is a short walking distance from your front door with easy access to a playground, swimming, kayaking, fishing, a pavilion with a grill, and outdoor summer concerts in the park! Walk a short distance up the road to play a game of mini-golf and then stop for an ice cream cone. Fishing, hiking, and year-round sporting opportunities opportunities will surround you and offer opportunities to keep everyone in your group entertained!

Whiteface Mountain is at your doorstep, less than 3 miles down the road for a fun-filled day on the slopes! In the summertime, enjoy a drive up Whiteface Memorial Highway or a ride up the gondola, or visit the quaint village of Lake Placid only a 15-minute drive away with Olympic venues, restaurants, shopping, Mirror Lake, and much more!

Lake Everest Retreat~ on Lake Everest offers a Maximum of 2 parking spaces for guest use.  The Town of Wilmington has adopted new Short-Term Vacation Rental Regulations that include rental parking limitations for the maximum number of motor vehicles allowed on the property. Parking is NOT permitted on any part of the lawn or on any part of a sidewalk and like other communities the ordinance asks that you obey all regulations when parking in public.

Q.  What type of vacation rental properties do you offer?
A.  We offer a wide selection of vacation rental properties ranging from cozy cabins to luxury retreats.  We set very high-standards to enhance your vacation experience and ensure guest satisfaction.  All Engel & Volkers rental properties are well maintained in desirable locations, fully furnished and tastefully appointed.
Q. What are your office hours?
A. Our office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. six days a week, Sunday’s by appointment and available to handle issues 24/7.
Q.  Where and when do I check-in the day of my arrival?
A.  Check in time is 4:00 p.m. unless we have approved and earlier check-in time. Please stop by our office to pick up your key and complimentary welcome tote. If you plan to arrive after 5:00 p.m., kindly let us know and we will make arrangements with you for key pickup.  Engel & Volkers is conveniently located at 2284 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid, NY 12946. 
Q.  When is departure time?
A. The check-out time is 10:00 a.m., sharp. If possible, we will grant late check-out requests on the day of departure. Please call us at least 48 hours in advance if you wish to extend your check-out. Please note that late check-outs are not always available due to reservation turnovers.
Q. Is there a cleaning fee?
A. Yes, there is a one-time cleaning fee that applies to every rental. This fee is based on the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and overall size of the property. If you’d like additional housekeeping during your stay, please call us to book a mid-stay clean.
Q.  Are linens and towels included?
A.  Yes, all of our vacation rental properties include linens and towels at the property for your use.
Q.  Are paper products, soaps and other household supplies included?
Our vacation rentals are furnished with a start-up supply of paper and soap products. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, garbage bags, a clean sponge and laundry soap. Some homes may also have a basic supply of spices, cooking oil and cooking spray.  Depending on how long your stay is and your level of usage, you may need to purchase more of these items at any of the local grocery stores.
Q.  Are washers & dryers available?
A. Yes, most of our properties have a washer and dryer available.
Q. Are pets permitted?
A. Some of our vacation properties accept pets and a pet deposit is required.  Please look for a pet friendly designation on our web-site or call us and we can help arrange suitable accommodations.
Q. Is smoking allowed in my rental property?
A. No, smoking is strictly prohibited in any of our vacation properties.
Q. Is there air-conditioning in my rental property?
A.  Most properties do not have air conditioning since the average daily high temperature tends to hover around 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months.
