This fabulous home boasts 5 bedrooms and 5 baths in the main house and a separate guest cottage with 1 bed and 1 bath that offers a perfect quiet space for anyone in your group and enough combined space for up to 12 guests and 5 cars! The interior presents lots of space and large rooms to either gather together for fun and games or to spread out for down time after days of exploring your surroundings. There is a fully applianced kitchen for preapring meals to dine at home, a large living room with fireplace and the enclosed sunporch/den that spans the length of the house facing the lake presents guests with opportunity to relax in comfort while watching lake activity throughout the day and gazing at the stars in the evening. The deck with outdoor furniture and grill beckons guests to get a bit of sunbathing in or to take advantage of sunny days for dining outdoors. The private dock allows visitors to enjoy time swimming in Mirror Lake or launching a kayak available for guest use to cruise across the waters and when the lake freezes in the winter you will find another whole set of activites right outside your doorstep! Bring your ice skates to step down onto a cleared path that will run the outer circle of the lake edges to glide across the ice, cross over to enjoy a friendly game of hockey on a cleared "beach" rink or take the fun ride down the toboggan chute. 

The sidewalk out in front of the home will lead you on a short and scenic lakeside walk in either direction to reach a playground park with public beach and tennis courts, the Olympic Arenas, several venues, eateries, pubs, shopping, Mids Park with lots of year round entertainment and there is even a historic multi- theater movie building! If you care to venture out further you will find all kinds of hiking, golf, biking, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, rock climbing opportunites, museums, natural attractions, Whiteface Ski Mountain and more! There is something for everyone in this year round vacation destination and you are sure to want to return time and time again to experience each of the glorious seasons while staying at the Lake House.

Number of Vehicles Allowed:
Lake House offers a Maximum of 5 parking spaces for guest use. The Town of North Elba, Village of Lake Placid has adopted new Short-Term Vacation Rental Regulations that include rental parking limitations for the maximum number of motor vehicles allowed on property. Parking is NOT permitted on any part of the lawn or on any part of a sidewalk and like other communities the ordinance asks that you obey all regulations when parking in public.

Q.  What type of vacation rental properties do you offer?
A.  We offer a wide selection of vacation rental properties ranging from cozy cabins to luxury retreats.  We set very high-standards to enhance your vacation experience and ensure guest satisfaction.  All Engel & Volkers rental properties are well maintained in desirable locations, fully furnished and tastefully appointed.
Q. What are your office hours?
A. Our office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. six days a week, Sunday’s by appointment and available to handle issues 24/7.
Q.  Where and when do I check-in the day of my arrival?
A.  Check in time is 4:00 p.m. unless we have approved and earlier check-in time. Please stop by our office to pick up your key and complimentary welcome tote. If you plan to arrive after 5:00 p.m., kindly let us know and we will make arrangements with you for key pickup.  Engel & Volkers is conveniently located at 2284 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid, NY 12946. 
Q.  When is departure time?
A. The check-out time is 10:00 a.m., sharp. If possible, we will grant late check-out requests on the day of departure. Please call us at least 48 hours in advance if you wish to extend your check-out. Please note that late check-outs are not always available due to reservation turnovers.
Q. Is there a cleaning fee?
A. Yes, there is a one-time cleaning fee that applies to every rental. This fee is based on the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and overall size of the property. If you’d like additional housekeeping during your stay, please call us to book a mid-stay clean.
Q.  Are linens and towels included?
A.  Yes, all of our vacation rental properties include linens and towels at the property for your use.
Q.  Are paper products, soaps and other household supplies included?
Our vacation rentals are furnished with a start-up supply of paper and soap products. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, garbage bags, a clean sponge and laundry soap. Some homes may also have a basic supply of spices, cooking oil and cooking spray.  Depending on how long your stay is and your level of usage, you may need to purchase more of these items at any of the local grocery stores.
Q.  Are washers & dryers available?
A. Yes, most of our properties have a washer and dryer available.
Q. Are pets permitted?
A. Some of our vacation properties accept pets and a pet deposit is required.  Please look for a pet friendly designation on our web-site or call us and we can help arrange suitable accommodations.
Q. Is smoking allowed in my rental property?
A. No, smoking is strictly prohibited in any of our vacation properties.
Q. Is there air-conditioning in my rental property?
A.  Most properties do not have air conditioning since the average daily high temperature tends to hover around 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months.
