Bass Lake Cottage is a gorgeous and cozy getaway in Vermontville with impressive Adirondack details and modern comforts throughout. There is a comfortable open floor plan for the living room, dining and kitchen with a woodstove for added comfort on chilly days. This home is able to accommodate 6 guests with 2 bedrooms and a large open loft/den area that has a sitting area and holds both an extra long and regular twin size bed. There is satellite internet with a smart TV downstairs and another TV upstairs that guests will need their streaming passwords in order to access programs.

Enjoy an easy access to Bass Lake across the road or take a short walk to reach Loon Lake for launching a canoe/kayak and cruise the lake with one of the 2 kayaks or the canoe and 4 adult  life preservers available at Bass Lake Cottage for guest use. Crystal clear Loon Lake is ideal for swimming, whether at the deep, naturally pebbly access at the foot of Bass Lake Rd, or at the community beach that is great for younger children and only a short drive or bike ride away.  If you would like to explore the area you will be able to reach the Village of Saranac Lake in one direction or the City of Plattsburgh in the other direction and this great vacation rental sits in a quiet area surrounded by all kinds of year round sporting opportunities. Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort and Titus Mountain (smaller Ski Resort) are both approximately 45 minute drives away. There is an abundance of cross country ski opportunity in the surrounding areas with the most notable at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid.

Experience hikes with varied ranges of difficulty that start and end from the 6er Bell in Berkely Green Park to Mount Baker at 1.8 miles and move on to surrounding areas to climb McKenzie at 10 miles, Ampersand at 5.4 miles,  Scarface at 6.8 miles, Haystack at 6.6 miles and St. Regis at 6.6 miles. A. We offer a wide selection of vacation rental properties ranging from cozy cabins to luxury retreats. We set very high-standards to enhance your vacation experience and ensure guest satisfaction. All Engel & Volkers rental properties are well maintained in desirable locations, fully furnished and tastefully appointed.
Q. What are your office hours?
A. Our office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. six days a week, Sunday’s by appointment and available to handle issues 24/7.
Q. Where and when do I check-in the day of my arrival?
A. Check in time is 4:00 p.m. unless we have approved and earlier check-in time. Please stop by our office to pick up your key and complimentary welcome tote. If you plan to arrive after 5:00 p.m., kindly let us know and we will make arrangements with you for key pickup. Engel & Volkers is conveniently located at 2284 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid, NY 12946.
Q. When is departure time?
A. The check-out time is 10:00 a.m., sharp. If possible, we will grant late check-out requests on the day of departure. Please call us at least 48 hours in advance if you wish to extend your check-out. Please note that late check-outs are not always available due to reservation turnovers.
Q. Is there a cleaning fee?
A. Yes, there is a one-time cleaning fee that applies to every rental. This fee is based on the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and overall size of the property. If you’d like additional housekeeping during your stay, please call us to book a mid-stay clean.
Q. Are linens and towels included?
A. Yes, all of our vacation rental properties include linens and towels at the property for your use.
Q. Are paper products, soaps and other household supplies included?
Our vacation rentals are furnished with a start-up supply of paper and soap products. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, garbage bags, a clean sponge and laundry soap. Some homes may also have a basic supply of spices, cooking oil and cooking spray. Depending on how long your stay is and your level of usage, you may need to purchase more of these items at any of the local grocery stores.
Q. Are washers & dryers available?
A. Yes, most of our properties have a washer and dryer available.
Q. Are pets permitted?
A. Some of our vacation properties accept pets and a pet deposit is required. Please look for a pet friendly designation on our web-site or call us and we can help arrange suitable accommodations.
Q. Is smoking allowed in my rental property?
A. No, smoking is strictly prohibited in any of our vacation properties.
Q. Is there air-conditioning in my rental property?
A. Most properties do not have air conditioning since the average daily high temperature tends to hover around 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months.
