Camp Iroquois is an 8.6 acre luxury family compound located on Upper Saranac Lake, New York with a gated entrance, an abundance of privacy, 500 ft of shoreline and incredible views! This prestigious Adirondack Great Camp offers accommodations to sleep up to 35 people and is available on a weekly basis July-August and 3 night minimum stay May-June and September-October. The camp will be reserved for one group at a time to ensure exclusive use of the property for your entire stay and the expansive accommodations offer ample indoor and outdoor gathering space for large groups.

There are 11 structures with unique details throughout. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath main cabin holds a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast area, mud room, den with fireplace and screened porch with washer/dryer. There are 5 additional sleeping cabins and a spacious dining hall with table that seats 12, stone-surround fireplace, cathedral-style exposed beam ceiling and diamond windows. The Great Room sofa, armchairs and rugs are present-day Stickley furnishings. The 2 story boathouse has an upper level living area with games for your entertainment, including a pool table and the expansive deck presents exceptional lake and mountain views. The lower level has 1 covered slip and 1 canoe/kayak launch with additional dockage on sides of boathouse with canoes, kayaks and paddle boards available for your use along with a separate floating dock, ideal for fishing, swimming or sunbathing. here is also a boat launch in close proximity to the camp if you would like to bring your own boat.

Our loyal and trustworthy staff and partners including a Boatman, Chef, Caterer and Housekeeper, are at your service upon an optional request to customize your stay, making it the most memorable experience possible for you and your guests. The camp is a perfect location for big family gatherings or large events, including weddings, with a capacity of 350 people. Please contact us so we can discuss your event and customize pricing.

Camp Iroquois offers guests opportunity and plenty of space to enjoy many activities, from tennis, basketball or croquet to picking from wild blueberry patches or playing at water sports and sits in proximity to the best ice cream in the Adirondacks! This camp is nearby hiking, golf, zip lining, biking, shopping, dining, breweries, wine tasting events, skiing, snowboarding and Olympic venues in Lake Placid, as well as cultural activities ranging from open-air concerts to museums or theaters, providing entertainment options for every day of the week! This secluded getaway on a beautiful level lot with a shallow, sandy swim area is perfect for kids and several patio areas offer ample outdoor gathering space with a gas grill for cookouts. Enjoy lake and mountain views from the long covered porch and keep warm by the bonfire at night. Despite its seclusion, access to Camp Iroquois is convenient – the Adirondacks Regional Airport is just 10 minutes from camp and is capable of landing a myriad of planes.

Register for the Saranac Lake 6er Hiking Challenge to earn a coveted 6er patch and ring the traditional 6er bell! Experience hikes with varied ranges of difficulty that start and end from the 6er Bell in Berkely Green Park to Mount Baker at 1.8 miles and move on to surrounding areas to climb McKenzie at 10 miles, Ampersand at 5.4 miles,  Scarface at 6.8 miles, Haystack at 6.6 miles and St. Regis at 6.6 miles. Some people stretch hikes out to months or years and the more adventurous aim to become a winter 6er or complete all hikes in 24 hours to become an Ultra 6er!

Jackrabbit Ski Trail presents visitors with  34 miles of groomed cross country/hiking trails that begin in Keene and pass through Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Paul Smiths offering all day ski trips with plenty of entry/exit opportunities along the way.

Q. What type of vacation rental properties do you offer?
A. We offer a wide selection of vacation rental properties ranging from cozy cabins to luxury retreats. We set very high-standards to enhance your vacation experience and ensure guest satisfaction. All Engel & Volkers rental properties are well maintained in desirable locations, fully furnished and tastefully appointed.
Q. What are your office hours?
A. Our office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. six days a week, Sunday’s by appointment and available to handle issues 24/7.
Q. Where and when do I check-in the day of my arrival?
A. Check in time is 4:00 p.m. unless we have approved and earlier check-in time. Please stop by our office to pick up your key and complimentary welcome tote. If you plan to arrive after 5:00 p.m., kindly let us know and we will make arrangements with you for key pickup. Engel & Volkers is conveniently located at 2284 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid, NY 12946.
Q. When is departure time?
A. The check-out time is 10:00 a.m., sharp. If possible, we will grant late check-out requests on the day of departure. Please call us at least 48 hours in advance if you wish to extend your check-out. Please note that late check-outs are not always available due to reservation turnovers.
Q. Is there a cleaning fee?
A. Yes, there is a one-time cleaning fee that applies to every rental. This fee is based on the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and overall size of the property. If you’d like additional housekeeping during your stay, please call us to book a mid-stay clean.
Q. Are linens and towels included?
A. Yes, all of our vacation rental properties include linens and towels at the property for your use.
Q. Are paper products, soaps and other household supplies included?
Our vacation rentals are furnished with a start-up supply of paper and soap products. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, garbage bags, a clean sponge and laundry soap. Some homes may also have a basic supply of spices, cooking oil and cooking spray. Depending on how long your stay is and your level of usage, you may need to purchase more of these items at any of the local grocery stores.
Q. Are washers & dryers available?
A. Yes, most of our properties have a washer and dryer available.
Q. Are pets permitted?
A. Some of our vacation properties accept pets and a pet deposit is required. Please look for a pet friendly designation on our web-site or call us and we can help arrange suitable accommodations.
Q. Is smoking allowed in my rental property?
A. No, smoking is strictly prohibited in any of our vacation properties.
Q. Is there air-conditioning in my rental property?
A. Most properties do not have air conditioning since the average daily high temperature tends to hover around 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months.
