Riverbend Townhome #17 is a luxurious 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath Adirondack craftsman townhome located in one of Lake Placid's newest townhouse communities. The main level features an open floor plan with a comfortable living room that has a gas fireplace, TV, large sectional couch and the gorgeous chef's kitchen boasting granite counters and breakfast bar with 4 stools. The main level also holds the dining room with table that seats 6-8 and a powder room. The upper level has three generously sized bedrooms, a loft area and 2 full bathrooms. The lower level offers a spacious entertainment room with something to keep everyone occupied for hours on end with a choice of shooting some pool, enjoying some ping pong, a game of darts or opting for a choice from the board games. The game room also holds a sleeper sofa and there is an attached full bath. The deck with gas grill, table and chairs, accessed through French doors in the dining room offers guests a perfect spot to relax, cook and dine outdoors while taking in the fresh Adirondack air, nature around you and beautiful views. 

This beautiful townhome vacation rental with in-floor heat comfortably accommodates 6-8 guests in a very nice private development with nice mountain views, sits only a few minutes drive away from the Village Main Street with venues and offers access to the Chubb River for canoeing and kayaking.

There are remote fans in each bedroom to keep you nice and cool on those rare hot days.

River Bend #17 offers a Maximum of 3 parking spaces for guest use. The Town of North Elba, Village of Lake Placid has adopted new Short-Term Vacation Rental Regulations that include rental parking limitations for the maximum number of motor vehicles allowed on property. Parking is NOT permitted on any part of the lawn or on any part of a sidewalk and like other communities the ordinance asks that you obey all regulations when parking in public.

I would like to say a special thanks to Helen and the other agents in the office (I'm sorry, I can't recall the names) who helped us during the weekend. Helen was receptive to our request that our adult son (who was participating in the triathlon) be able to check into the condo a bit early. After meeting him, she also cheered him on when he passed by the refreshment table where she was volunteering. In addition, she even sent me photos of him as he ran by!! That was so thoughtful, and our son was very appreciative of her support as he was struggling a bit with the run at the end of the race. I'm not sure whether is was Helen or the other gentlemen in the office, but one of them went out of their way on a very busy weekend to go out and buy additional bath towels when none could be located in the condo. Everyone with whom we spoke was very friendly and helpful, and we will be sure to call you again if we return for next year's race! Thanks so much!

Amazing location to explore Lake Placid and surrounding towns. Lots of history and local food and activities. The house itself was very cozy, well equipped for cooking and having quality family time, and provided ample amount of space for our large group.

Only negative was the basement heat did not work well. Only ever got to 64. Consequently could not use pull out down there. Still worked out bed wise. - from Property Manager - Thanks to this review we have fixed the heat (that was stuck on 63 degrees). We hope you come back and stay with us again.

Q. What type of vacation rental properties do you offer?
A. We offer a wide selection of vacation rental properties ranging from cozy cabins to luxury retreats. We set very high-standards to enhance your vacation experience and ensure guest satisfaction. All Engel & Volkers rental properties are well maintained in desirable locations, fully furnished and tastefully appointed.
Q. What are your office hours?
A. Our office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. six days a week, Sunday’s by appointment and available to handle issues 24/7.
Q. Where and when do I check-in the day of my arrival?
A. Check in time is 4:00 p.m. unless we have approved and earlier check-in time. Please stop by our office to pick up your key and complimentary welcome tote. If you plan to arrive after 5:00 p.m., kindly let us know and we will make arrangements with you for key pickup. Engel & Volkers is conveniently located at 2284 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid, NY 12946.
Q. When is departure time?
A. The check-out time is 10:00 a.m., sharp. If possible, we will grant late check-out requests on the day of departure. Please call us at least 48 hours in advance if you wish to extend your check-out. Please note that late check-outs are not always available due to reservation turnovers.
Q. Is there a cleaning fee?
A. Yes, there is a one-time cleaning fee that applies to every rental. This fee is based on the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and overall size of the property. If you’d like additional housekeeping during your stay, please call us to book a mid-stay clean.
Q. Are linens and towels included?
A. Yes, all of our vacation rental properties include linens and towels at the property for your use.
Q. Are paper products, soaps and other household supplies included?
Our vacation rentals are furnished with a start-up supply of paper and soap products. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, garbage bags, a clean sponge and laundry soap. Some homes may also have a basic supply of spices, cooking oil and cooking spray. Depending on how long your stay is and your level of usage, you may need to purchase more of these items at any of the local grocery stores.
Q. Are washers & dryers available?
A. Yes, most of our properties have a washer and dryer available.
Q. Are pets permitted?
A. Some of our vacation properties accept pets and a pet deposit is required. Please look for a pet friendly designation on our web-site or call us and we can help arrange suitable accommodations.
Q. Is smoking allowed in my rental property?
A. No, smoking is strictly prohibited in any of our vacation properties.
Q. Is there air-conditioning in my rental property?
A. Most properties do not have air conditioning since the average daily high temperature tends to hover around 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months.
