COVID-19 Reservation Date Changes & Cancellation Process
We have asked our property owners to be more flexible with the 60 day cancellation policy and if necessary to adapt our terms and conditions. If you find that you need to change your reservation dates or cancel your reservation, please contact our Vacation Rental Team anytime at 1-800-724-8778 or [email protected]
Engel & Völkers may be required to cancel your trip on short notice in accordance with New York State, local government regulations or circumstances beyond our control. If this happens, we will notify you in writing and issue a full refund without penalty. If your reservation was processed through a third party OTA such as HomeAway/VRBO, Airbnb and other providers you may be subject to their refund terms and conditions. Please check with individual providers.
Cleaning Guidelines
We are taking necessary precautions to notify and provide property owners, cleaning services and vendors with cleaning guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. New York State industry specific guidelines have not been released. Until that time, Engel & Vlkers is sharing voluntary guidelines and checklists that have been derived in part from recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) and Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP) as well as NYS Department of Health (DOH) Interim Guidance but they do not constitute legal or medical advice, nor do they necessarily take into account the various requirements of all states, counties, and municipalities. Engel & Vlkers make no warranty or representation that following these guidelines will ensure the health of employees, clients, guests, or others, or preclude the possibility of contamination. While these guidelines are intended to be comprehensive, they do not contain all available information on the subject matter. These guidelines were prepared based on available information existing at the time of publication and therefore may be superseded by later developments.
